Why then do airlines, the majority of whom are 'major' or 'super' brands , send out booking confirmations that are simply formatted, resemble telexes of yesterday and are largely devoid of the airlines image. The reason, delivery formats that allow a dynamic visual experience also carry the threat of a potential viral or malware attack and are increasingly being intercepted by firewalls preventing delivery. ARIES ibook&board overcomes these limitations and offers airlines much more.
ARIES ibook&board provides airlines with the ability to deliver fully branded booking confirmations, e-tickets and boarding cards using a secure PDF format. Confirmations are structured and clear with excellent opportunities to add finely targeted marketing messages, which can be automatically tailored to the individual passenger profile. In the first instance, this represents an additional revenue earning opportunity potentially turning a cost-centric process into a profit-centric process. It can also be used to automate the collection the Advanced Passenger Information (API), especially useful for those elements that cannot be captured from the passport. The API data can be assimilated directly into an API database, where one exists, or it can be printed on an ARIES ibook&board generated boarding card in accordance to IATA resolution 792 using a secure PDF417 2D barcode. This can then be efficiently captured and validated against the passport at check-in or baggage drop.
ARIES ibook&board, in conjunction with AirSysPortal, provides a means to maintain an airline's strong branding improving customer perception and potentially, loyalty. It offers a means to benefit from additional revenue opportunities and it allows API data capture to be automated, reducing check-in times, enhancing customer experience and assists the airline to meet compliance standards.
